On October 7, 2021, the Conseil d’Etat, which was seized by five trade unions and an employers’ organization in the wholesale trade sector in a dispute concerning the extension of an amendment to the collective agreement, ruled on the elements constituting minimum hierarchical wages. The definition of this notion was expected to determine the place of branch negotiations in relation to company negotiations on wages.
